It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our biggest fan, Michelle Sanford. She passed away suddenly on 10/28/08. She moved next door to the house where we rehearse about six months ago and quickly became friends with everyone in the band. We were so happy that we had a neighbor who was also a big fan of the band and our music. Michelle was such a sweet person and instantly became our favorite fan. She was going through a tough time after losing her husband before moving into the neighborhood and was left to raise her three children as a single parent. As soon as we met her, we had an instant connection with her through the music and the fun we had playing. She became a regular guest at all of our rehearsals and shows from the time we met her. During our most recent show at Hard Tails on 10/10/08, she confided that her friendship with us helped her with the healing process in dealing with the loss of her husband. Listening to the music, dancing, being with friends, and having a good time is great medicine to help heal the problems that life can throw your way. As we look back at the pictures of her from our recent shows and see the fun she was having, it’s hard to believe that she is gone. Our thoughts are with her family in this very difficult time. She will be missed.
